Struggling with life’s challenges and need someone to talk to?

Counselling Services

Welcome to Helios Counselling Service. My name is Simone Robinson, and I’m here to support you through life’s challenges with counselling services offered online or via telephone.

As an integrative counsellor, I draw on a variety of approaches, grounded in the belief that you are the expert in your own life. My experience spans working with both young people and adults facing a range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship conflicts, suicidal thoughts, family dynamics, attachment issues, and bereavement.

I am committed to providing a non-judgemental, safe, and empathetic environment where you can explore your feelings and thoughts at your own pace. Together, we can navigate your journey toward understanding and healing in a supportive and confidential space.

What is counselling?

Counselling is a type of talking therapy that provides a safe and supportive space to talk openly about how you’re feeling and the challenges you may be facing, without fear of judgement. A counsellor listens and supports you in understanding your thoughts, feelings and experiences, helping you work through difficulties and move forward.

Counselling Process

A cozy room with a wooden table, potted plants, a framed abstract art piece, a small lamp, and a sign that reads 'Let's connect' with a message encouraging listening and support. The background has a window with leafy greenery outside, and a sign with the number 1 is illuminated above the scene.

Step 1: Initial Contact & Consultation

Reach out to arrange a free 15 minute consultation. This is an opportunity to discuss your needs, ask questions, and determine if counselling is right for you.

Step 2: Your First Counselling Session

Attend your initial session, where we will explore your concerns in a safe, confidential space and begin working towards your goals.

A cozy therapy or counseling room with two armchairs, one green and one orange, around a wooden coffee table with a plant, tissue box, and mug. A large plant is near a window on the left, and a bookshelf with books and plants is on the right. A sign with the number 2 hangs on the wall, and the space is warmly lit with framed leaf artwork.

Step 3: Ongoing Support or Closure

Following your session, we can continue with regular counselling based on your needs or, if you feel ready, conclude our therapeutic journey.

A cozy, well-lit room with a large window showing greenery outside. On a wooden desk, there is a potted plant, a mug, a candle, a notebook titled 'Your Journey', and an information display. The display has sections labeled 'Continue' with supporting text, 'Conclude' with supportive text, and icons for ongoing support, decision-making, and support availability. There are framed artwork and floating shelves with books and a smaller potted plant on the wall behind.

How to choose a therapist?

Choosing the right therapist is about finding someone you feel comfortable, safe and understood with. Alongside qualifications and experience, the connection you build with your therapist is one of the most important parts of therapy.

It can also help to consider things such as online or in-person sessions, availability, cost, and whether you’d feel more comfortable with a therapist of a specific gender or background.
